L’Odyssée Grandeza

adidas Paris released ‘Odyssée Grandeza’, a unique 3’30” film that pays tribute to the legendary football club, Real Madrid and its 120 year-long legacy. The film focuses on French footballer Karim Benzema, with a number of allusions fans will recognize, referencing the club’s legends, goals and jerseys. It is an ambitious narrative that connects the brand to its audience through culture.


The film features three teenagers who find themselves needing to draw on a communal spirit, incarnated by Karim Benzema, as they find themselves playing a match against supernatural forces in the club’s historic stadium, Santiago Bernabéu. Inspired by Japanese manga – a cultural phenomenon of today’s youth and sports enthusiasts – the film portrays a journey of initiation, celebrating the mindset that drives the club and that has led to so many victories.
